Microsoft is trying to shut its $68.7 billion deal to amass Activision Blizzard subsequent week.

A souce familair with Microsoft's plans instructed The Verge the corporate hopes to shut the deal on Friday, October 13.

The date is dependant on the approval of UK’s Competitors and Markets Authority, which blocked the closure of the deal earlier this 12 months. To appease the CMA, Microsoft transferred its cloud streaming rights for “all present and future” Activision Blizzard video games to Ubisoft for a time period of 15 years.

The evaluate course of from the CMA expired yesterday, and a choice is predicted subsequent week forward of the 90-day extension settlement signed between Activision Blizzard and Microsoft to clse the deal. This settlement expires on October 18.
