Even though Worldshards is just in its early access phase, it already allows players to discover tradable NFTs within the game. Despite the possibility of a game reset in the future, players can rest assured that any NFTs they acquire will remain in their possession.

Currently, the web3-integrated fantasy MMORPG lacks a large-scale multiplayer feature. However, it's important to note that the game is still in the initial stage of early access. While multiplayer functionality has not been introduced yet, players can still enjoy a fully functional single-player mode in Worldshards. To participate in the early access testing, players must possess either a land NFT or an access key.

Worldshards adheres to the Big Time framework. Participants explore individualized zones, battling aggressive creatures, collecting materials, and occasionally tackling unique missions or solving puzzles. These collected materials are utilized to craft and construct. Players have the ability to set up crafting stations on their own property, which enables the creation of enhanced items.

Participants embark on quests, create objects, construct homes, set up crafting areas, and make improved items. This enables them to undertake more challenging journeys to acquire superior treasures, potentially including NFTs!

NFTs in Worldshards

Currently, acquiring NFTs is a matter of chance. They might appear as rewards when you gather resources or conquer adversaries. These NFTs are essentially designs for decorative elements that can be added to your base without using any resources. These decorative NFTs enhance the ambiance, facilitating the building of less cozy structures such as workshops and refining stations. In an upcoming upgrade, there will also be options to exchange and market these designs.

You don't need to own an Island NFT to join the game. However, having one offers additional space for building your personalized headquarters, allowing for more extensive workshop enhancements and the creation of unique, high-value items. Moreover, with the launch of multiplayer features, these Islands will serve as gathering places for guilds and friends. Plus, it is expected that players will have opportunities to rent out their land via Open Loot.

Several ornamental NFTs have been previously given out in promotional events. These, along with land NFTs, are available for acquisition on the Open Loot marketplace.
