Supanova 2024 Perth: Pokémon GO Event – My Experience

Supanova is known for being one of Australia's top pop culture conventions, drawing fans of all ages to celebrate their favorite movies, TV shows, comics, and games. This year, the excitement reached new heights as Supanova 2024 made its way to Perth from June 29 to June 30, 2024, at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre. Among the various attractions, the Pokémon GO booth stood out, offering fans an interactive and rewarding experience.

As a Pokémon GO enthusiast, the dedicated booth at Supanova was a must-visit for me. Walking into the Perth Convention Centre, I was immediately struck by the infectious energy of the event. The cosplay at Supanova 2024 was truly spectacular, with attendees going all out to recreate intricate costumes from popular media. The dedication and craftsmanship on display were truly impressive.

After spending hours browsing through the stalls and admiring the talent and creativity of the homemade merchandise, I made my way to the giant in-person PokéStop at the Pokémon GO booth. The booth offered a variety of free goodies that were a hit with attendees, including exclusive stickers, a pop socket for your phone, in-game codes for items, and a Pikachu hat that I proudly wore for a picture.

Not only was the booth visually appealing, but it also featured an exclusive in-game quest that rewarded players with a Red Party Hat Pikachu. This added an extra layer of excitement to the event and was a delightful addition to my Pokémon collection.

One of the special features of the event was the increased chance of encountering Unown S via Lure Modules. While I was unable to find a shiny Unown S, I did manage to catch several of these rare Pokémon, adding a special touch to my Supanova experience.

Overall, Supanova 2024 in Perth was a memorable experience, and the Pokémon GO booth was definitely a highlight. From reuniting with friends to grabbing exclusive merchandise, completing special quests, and seeing the dedication participants had put into their cosplay outfits, the event truly had something for everyone.
