A New Chapter in Gods Unchained

Prepare yourselves, collectors and gamers alike, as Gods Unchained has just unveiled its latest expansion, Dread Awakening, set to release on April 22nd! This addition broadens the spectrum of cards in this fantasy trading card game, introducing seven distinct Mythic variants along with new, formidable abilities!

An upcoming release named Dread Awakening is set to enhance the Gods Unchained universe! This addition will introduce 132 fresh cards featuring thirteen legendary cards, alongside two innovative gameplay mechanics named Dreadtouched and Elderytch Mystery!

Dreadtouched skills are triggered by offering up one of your own creatures. This combination, especially when linked with Afterlife abilities, appears to be a promising strategy! Currently, there isn't a detailed explanation for Elderytch Mystery, but it looks like it might be a card that can be enhanced. I anticipate that the Gods Unchained team will soon provide additional details.

Dead Awakening will feature Mythic versions, which are exclusive renditions of legendary cards distinguished by their unique artwork. This set will contain a total of seven. After all seven are located, players will have the chance to find three special Promo cards in premium packs. These premium packs are only available for purchase. Packs obtained from promotions or given as prizes are categorized as Reward packs and do not include these Promo cards.

Creating Cards in Dread Awakening

In the Dread Awakening set, there are eighteen unique cards—comprising six rare, six epic, and six legendary—that players can obtain solely by crafting. Introduced recently in Gods Unchained, crafting involves players relinquishing a predetermined group of cards to create these new ones. The ability to craft new cards is restricted to particular sets and is only available until the sales period for that set concludes.

Dread Awakening will introduce modifications to Legendary crafting as well. When Epic cards are utilized in crafting, they will be downgraded to Meteorite Shine. While it seems that the original cards are still consumed in the process, crafters will actually receive new, Meteorite versions of these Epic cards.
